Northdown (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is a single-player puzzle game for iPhone, iPad and Android, published by Revelar Solutions Private Limited. This policy explains what the game stores, what it shares, and what it never collects. The short version: the game has no account, asks for no personal details, keeps your progress on your own device, shows advertising through Google AdMob, and sells in-app purchases through Apple and Google.
1. No account, no personal information
The game does not ask you to register, sign in, or provide a name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information. There is no login and no server of ours that holds your data.
2. What is stored on your device
Your progress (levels solved, stars, coins, chosen character, daily-puzzle streak, purchases you own) and your settings (sound, vibration, accessibility options, Developer mode) are saved on your device using the storage the operating system provides to the app. This data stays on the device. Deleting the game deletes it; the Reset progress button in Settings also erases it.
3. Play statistics and crash reports
The game keeps a short, anonymous log of play events on the device (for example: a level started, a level won in a number of moves, a hint used, an ad shown, a purchase made) together with the app version, the device model and the operating system version. No name, email, contact, location, photo, or advertising identifier is part of this log. It exists so that we can find levels that are too hard and problems that crash the game.
If Play statistics is switched on in Settings (it is on by default), crash reports and these anonymous events may be sent to our error-reporting provider, Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), under their privacy policy. You can switch this off at any time in Settings; the game plays exactly the same. The Share log option in Developer mode lets you see and share the log yourself.
4. Advertising
The game shows advertisements served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Google may use your device's advertising identifier and information about your device and the ads you see to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
On iOS, the game asks for your permission before any tracking identifier is used, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads are still shown, but they are not personalised. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation in the device's Google settings.
Some ads are optional: you choose to watch them in exchange for coins, a hint, a skipped level or a saved streak. The game never shows an ad in exchange for nothing while you are solving a level. Purchasing Remove ads stops the advertisements between levels permanently on that store account; the optional ones remain available because they are your choice.
5. In-app purchases
Coins, Remove ads and the Everything pack are sold through Apple In-App Purchase (on iOS) and Google Play Billing (on Android). Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their terms and privacy policies. We never receive your card details, billing address, or any account information; we receive only a receipt saying which product was bought, which the game uses to grant it. Restore purchases in the shop asks Apple or Google for your past purchases so they can be granted again on a new device.
6. Game Center and Google Play Games
If you are signed in to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games on your device, the game may submit your daily-puzzle score and total stars to leaderboards run by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. The game does not receive your Game Center or Play Games profile information. You can sign out of these services in your device settings at any time.
7. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the game schedules reminders locally on your device (for example, that today's puzzle is ready). These are created by the app on the device itself; nothing is sent to us or to any server to deliver them. You can turn them off in your device's notification settings.
8. Children
Northdown is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Because the game holds no personal data about you on any server of ours, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf: your progress lives on your device and is under your control. For data held by Google (advertising) or Apple and Google (purchases, leaderboards), please use the controls those companies provide. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California or another jurisdiction with privacy rights and have a question about this policy, write to contact@revelarsolutions.com and we will answer within 30 days.
10. Security
Data on your device is protected by the operating system's app sandbox. Anything the game sends (crash reports, if enabled) travels over encrypted connections (TLS).
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page, and the game's store listing always links to the current version.
